Know More About Unmanaged PoE+ Switches

Unmanaged PoE Switches - AE Connect

Unmanaged PoE+ Switches are generally used to transfer electric data and power over twisted pair ethernet cabling. It uses power over ethernet technology to provide data and power to devices such as wireless access points (WAPs), Internet Protocol (IP) cameras, and voice-over-internet protocol (VoIP) phones. Unmanaged PoE Switches can serve LANs by providing data and power over the same ethernet cable. The technology was defined by IEEE 802.3af standard in the year 2003. AE Connect provides cost-effective unmanaged PoE+ switches. The use of IoT is increasing day by day which is resulting in more smart cities, intelligent homes etc. PoE switch is used in IoT and its demand has vast potential in the market. The unmanaged PoE+ Switches from AE Connect can be called basic plug-and-play devices with no remote configuration, monitoring or management options. AE Connect manufactures a full range of commercial and industrial unmanaged PoE+ switches that boasts a variety of speeds (including 10 Gigabit), port count, mounting and fibre.

Each PoE+ switch distributes the power of 30 watts per port which means high-speed data transmission while powering devices over long distances. Our PoE+ switches come with an industrial-grade design and can provide the required surge and static protection to ensure consistent operation in irregular and harsh conditions. In order to make your network simple, deploying unmanaged PoE+ switches can streamline your management and maintenance practices. Imagine you require to position the network set up in areas where a power outlet is not available.

PoE switch can supply both data and power in such situations using ethernet cables. Internet Protocol (IP) cameras need fast internet and a permanent power outlet to perform at high resolution. Even WiFi services are coming up at places such as airports, railway stations, universities, marketplaces etc. In situations like this PoE switches become very necessary as they can provide both data and power to the wireless access points. Unmanaged PoE switches are a great way of providing data and power to VoIP phones which are very much used by corporate.

Benefits Of Unmanaged PoE+ Switches

Used For Small Networks

Our unmanaged PoE+ switches are simple connecting ethernet devices with a fixed configuration that you cannot make changes into. Often the switches are used for small networks or to add temporary groups of systems to a large network. A small network of different devices is strongly supported by unmanaged PoE+ switches.

High-Level Performance

When it comes to performance the advantage of unmanaged PoE+ switches is that you can plug and play immediately with your network. There is no requirement to set anything up, and it has in-built QoS services to ensure it’s working well.

Very Secure Infrastructure

Unmanaged PoE+ switches have very basic security. Our PoE+ switches are secured by ensuring you have no vulnerabilities present from system to system. Accessories like a lockable port cover may ensure no one is tampering with the device directly.

Wide Applications

Unmanaged PoE+ Switches become a natural choice when it comes to smaller networks such as for small businesses, the home, a single office or so on. Well, size cannot be the only single thing that matters when deciding on the right PoE+ Switch as you can get PoE+ switches with any number of ports both managed and unmanaged.

Unmanaged PoE Switches supply power via an Ethernet cable and thus eliminates the demand for additional electrical wiring. Therefore device can be installed based on where it needs to go. We have earthing slots in all our Unmanaged switches. The earthing is provided by connecting the neutral of the electrical socket to the ground. The earthing provides a simple path for the flow of leakage current to the ground. The short-circuit current of the equipment passes to the earth which has zero potential. Thus, protects the system and equipment from damage. The combination of PoE and wireless technology allows for a practically cable-free environment.

All the PoE power comes from a central and generally compatible source rather than a collection of distributed wall adapters. It can be back up very easily by an uninterruptible power supply. PoE switch eliminates the need for users to purchase and install additional electrical outlets and wires. The result is significant savings on installation and maintenance costs. The unmanaged PoE switch consumes less time and is more economical for cable installation by carrying electrical power over the network cable. You can place your equipment in awkward places where there are no power outlets with the help of unmanaged PoE+ switches.
